新年のサプライズ！最近の子供の夢は想定外？

道後温泉で出会った　お子さんの夢は「○○ゲーム」クリエイター

将来はグローバルメディアかも？

新年早々、休養のため道後温泉に行きました

湯船から出て涼んでいると小さな男の子２人が来ました。

私が「どこから来たの」と聞くと、少し驚いたように上の子が　「大坂」

下の子が「兵庫」と言いました。

続けて「年はいくつ」と聞くと

年上の子（大阪）が「１０才」、年下の子（兵庫）が「８才」と言いました。

2人は親せきで　お正月の帰省で祖父母宅に来ている様でした。

私は　そんな小さな子供と話す事が珍しかったので「将来の夢は？」と聞くと

上の子が「野球選手」と応えました。

下の子は「わからない、まだ決まらないな～」と応えました。

私が「プロ野球選手か～」と言うと「いや、プロ野球は無理だから～

高校、大学でやりたい」と言いました。

私は「プロ野球は難しいからね～」とフォローしました。

しかし、その後上の子が「ユーチューバー」と言いました。

すると下の子も「僕もユーチューバー」と続きました。

私が「ユーチューバーは沢山いるから難しいよ」と言うと

下の子が「そうだね、分かってるよ。普通のユーチューバーでは

なくホラーゲーム」と言いました。

すると上の子も「そうだホラーゲームが面白いね。」と言いました。

二人が顔を見合わせて私に「ホラーゲーム分かる？」と聞くので

私が訳がわからないまま「幽霊とか怪物が出るやつでしょ。」と話すと。

「それもホラーだけど」

〇ここで、ちょっと情報！

ホラーゲームは、恐怖や緊張感を楽しむためのゲームです。

ストーリーや状況がプレイヤーを引き込む大きな要素。

怖いものが好きな人にはおすすめ！

私はあまり好きではないですが～。汗

面白いのはゾンビだよ！」と下の子が強く言いました。

私が「ゾンビはそんな面白いかな？」と言うと

「いろいろ化けて面白いよ～」と言います。

〇ちょっと情報！

ゾンビは、死者が復活し、知能が低下した状態で人間を襲う存在として、

ホラー作品で広く知られています。

恐怖や緊張感を生み出す重要なキャラクターです。

私が「どんなストーリーなのかな？」と言うと

下の子が「小さな女の子が　お父さんにブロックを投げて

　お父さんはそれを受け止めて反対に投げ返すと

また、女の子がブロックを投げて、お父さんを倒すんだ」と言いました。

すると上の子が「そのブロックがだんだん固まって大きくなるんだよ」と

付け加えました。

そして、二人で「ケラケラ」笑いました。

続けて「世界的な大ヒット作品になれば良いけど～」と言いました。

私はそのストーリーの面白さが分かりませんでしたが

二人が真剣に話しているので子供達には面白い事なんだろうと思いました。

私は「知り合いの韓国人も最新のゲームを制作して

国際的な展示会に出品しているから若い人には注目なんだね～」と

言いました。

二人は「今、面白いのはホラーゲームだからね！」と繰り返しました。

するとそのタイミングでお父さんがやってきて

「早く体を洗いなさい」とアドバイス。

二人は出ていきましたが、私は今の子供たちの興味・関心事に触れて

不思議な気持ちで見ていました。

現在の子供達はスマホ世代の関心事はスマホの楽しみ方。

以前は単なるユーチューバー人気だったのが、今は

ユーチューバープラスゲーム（ホラーゲーム？）が

人気の中心になっている現実を垣間見ました。

その後、入浴しているとその二人が私を探しながらやってきて

もう帰るから「さよなら」と手を振ってくれました。

「なんと律儀な子供達！」　（驚き～）

本当に義理人情に厚いかわいい子供達でした。

私は湯船から「バイバイ」と言って手を振り、ほんのりとした気分で

見送りました。

新年を飾るちょっと面白い出来事となりました。

私は「２人が将来どうなるのか？分かりませんが是非成功して欲しい」と

強く思いました。

また、先日のNHKの特集でもゲームは新しいグローバルメディアの可能性を

紹介していました。　汗

New Year Surprise! Kids’ Unexpected Dreams?
A Child’s Dream Encountered at Dogo Onsen: “○○ Game”
Games have the potential of a new global media.

At the start of the New Year, I took a trip to Dogo Onsen to relax.
While cooling off after a soak in the bath, two young boys approached me.
I asked, “Where are you from?”
The older boy seemed slightly surprised and replied, “Osaka.”
The younger boy followed, saying, “Hyogo.Pre”
I then asked their ages, to which the older boy (from Osaka) said,
“I’m 10,” and the younger boy (from Hyogo) said, “I’m 8.”

The two seemed to be cousins visiting their grandparents
during the New Year holiday.
Since it’s not every day I get to chat with such young kids,
I asked, “What are your dreams for the future?”
The older boy answered, “A baseball player.”
The younger boy said, “I’m not sure yet.”
When I commented, “A pro baseball player, huh?”
the older boy responded, “No, not a pro.

That’s too hard. I just want to play in high school or college.”
I agreed, saying, “Pro baseball is tough.”
However, the older boy then added,
“Or maybe a YouTuber.”
The younger boy chimed in, “Me too—a YouTuber!”
I said, “There are so many YouTubers,
though. It’s a tough field.”
The younger boy replied, “Yeah, I know.
Not just an ordinary YouTuber, but one who does horror games.”
The older boy nodded, saying, “Yeah, horror games are cool.”

The two then turned to me and asked,
“Do you know about horror games?”
Although I was a bit clueless, I responded,
“You mean the ones with ghosts and monsters?”
They said, “That’s part of it.”

Quick Info:
Horror games are games designed to evoke fear and tension.
Storylines and immersive situations are major factors that draw players in.
If you like thrills, horror games are a great choice! Personally,
they’re not really my thing. Sweat

The younger boy eagerly said, “Zombies are the best!”
I asked, “Are zombies really that fun?”
He replied, “Yeah! They transform in all sorts of ways—
it’s hilarious!”

Quick Info:
Zombies are undead creatures widely known in horror media.
They attack humans and create tension and fear,
making them iconic characters in the genre.

I asked, “What kind of storyline does it have?”
The younger boy excitedly explained,
 “There’s this little girl who throws blocks at her dad,
and when he catches them and throws them back,
she throws more and knocks him down!”
The older boy added,
“And the blocks get bigger and harder as the game goes on.”
The two burst into laughter, giggling together.

Then they said, “It’d be great if it became a worldwide hit!”
While I couldn’t really grasp the appeal of their story,
 seeing how passionately they talked made me think

it must be interesting to them.
I said, “I know a Korean friend who’s developing a cutting-edge game
to exhibit at an international event.

It seems like games are really capturing young people’s attention.”
The boys replied, “Horror games are the most fun right now!”
Just then, their dad appeared and said, “Hurry up and wash yourselves.”
The boys left, but I remained there,
feeling amazed at how kids these days find joy and interest
in such different things.
Today’s kids are part of the smartphone generation,
and their interests center around digital entertainment.
While YouTubers were once the main craze,
now it’s about YouTubers plus gaming—particularly horror games.
It was a glimpse into the shifting trends of today’s youth.
Later, while I was soaking in the bath again,
the two boys came looking for me.
Before leaving, they waved and said, “Goodbye!”
“What polite children!” I thought, impressed by their thoughtful manners.
Waving back from the bath, I said, “Bye-bye!”
and felt a warm glow inside.

It became a small but delightful memory to mark the New Year.
I genuinely hope those two achieve great success,
whatever their futures may hold.

In addition, in a special feature on NHK the other day,
games have the potential of a new global media.
It was introduced.　sweat
